Community Activists

Our Community Activists make up the core of Rethinking Power’s work. These 60 men and 60 women are working every day to bring Rethinking Power and its message of equality to their communities through a variety of platforms, including: discussion groups, dramas, printed materials and simple conversations with friends and family. On average, these 120 Activists are leading 90 to 110 activities every week in our 6 areas of operation. The Power Paper Exercise is just one example of how they begin the process of changed in their communities. In addition to organizing these activists, each month the Activists meet together for reflection, skill-building and event planning.

Meet Abenson Avril, one of our many talented Community Activists!
