When I moved to Haiti from Uganda 4 years ago, I knew I was taking on something huge–something well beyond me.

I’ve been working to end violence against women and girls for more than 17 years now, and I can definitely say that I’ve never come across a more effective approach to this work than our Rethinking Power program.

It’s different because Rethinking Power mobilizes the whole community to show how each person can use his or her power to end violence against women and girls. We engage religious and community leaders, women’s organizations, journalists, and healthcare professionals. We give ordinary women and men with extraordinary ideas the tools they need to take action.

And it’s working.

We have a network of over 15,000 Haitians building the movement to make domestic and sexual violence a thing of the past in Haiti.

I want to tell you more, and answer any questions you may have, so that together we can grow this vital movement.

Will you join me on Thursday, March 6, at 1 p.m. EST to discuss how we can work together to end domestic and sexual violence in Haiti?

If you have friends who might want to join the conversation, forward this message to them, too!

The more people engaged, the stronger the movement grows.

Thank you so much for your care and concern, and I look forward to speaking with you on the 6th!
