Each month volunteers who lead Girls Clubs meet together for fellowship and continued learning.

Girls Club mentors are special women committed to shepherding young girls to use their power for positive change in the community. This work is generously sponsored by the European Union Delegation in Haiti.

At the most recent mentor meeting in April, the volunteers focused on the question, “How do we balance power in families to prevent violence against women and girls?”

In order to balance power, the women focused on six areas: power, communication, leadership & friendship, finances, and girls’ health as it relates to violence.

Girls Club mentors leave meetings like this equipped energized to carry on their important work of supporting girls in their communities.
